Dome Valley, north of Yuma proving grounds in the western Arizona desert. 12kW of salvaged Martin Marietta medium concentrator units provide power for this salvage specialist, his wife, three air-conditioners, a swimming pool and a small town which he built himself from buildings moved in from a four-state area. The nearest grid power is ten miles away.

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. The SolarTrak® was born here in the photovoltaics development group, fathered by Alex Maish (far right). Designed to track the sun, it now can control heliostats as well. The units on the right are linear Fresnel PV concentrators by Entech Corporation, TX.

This home in Santa Fe, NM soaks up 9kWatts of thermal energy with a receiver on the top of their home using a 96 sq-foot mirror to heat a six-zone radiant floor heating system and their sauna.

Entech Corporation, in Keller, TX, designed and built these linear Fresnel PV concentrators. Each module put out about 360 Watts from a 2"x12-foot strip of PV.

The field to the right consists of four 25kWatt rows of 72 modules each.
